Signposts: Back To The Thatch can make up for Eider fall

Magoo is an interesting contender for Paul Nicholls in the 4.35 at Fontwell. The French recruit is pitched into a handicap for his debut for the yard. The trainer also equips a first-time tongue-tie and conditions look set for a nice run for a stable that does well with such runners.

Tom O’Brien is a jockey in a rich vein of form at the moment and heads to Uttoxeter for one ride – Back To The Thatch in the Midlands Grand National at 3.35. Henry Daly’s gelding was travelling well before falling in the Eider Chase last time out and can make amends here under similar conditions.
