Scott's Saxagogo looks maximum-bet material

The summer is in full swing and with temperatures set to soar I'm looking forward to a trip to Newmarket tomorrow. With the possible exception of Goodwood, there is no better place on a sunny day than the picnic enclosure at the July course and, at just a tenner to get in and with family entertainment included, it puts other tracks to shame in terms of value for money.
My parents were regular visitors when I was growing up and as a youngster I remember my father pointing out a pink-shirted gentleman who went by the name of Henry Cecil, as he was at the time. I soon came to understand just who the great man was and, on return visits, I remember often seeing the late Cecil picnicking with friends among the Newmarket regulars. I always thought it a measure of the man that he seemed equally at home in the picnic enclosure as he did in the Premier.
After Cecil's death in 2013, George Scott was chosen to fill the plum role as assistant to Cecil's wife Lady Jane and he spent two successful years at Warren Place before starting out in his own right this season. Scott has made a promising start and his string is in good form, with three winners and a second from eight runners in the last fortnight.
