Sandown Placepot tips: Keith Melrose identifies two banker legs

The first leg involves two risky selections in Arthur's Seat and Il Re Di Nessuno, but taking a big swing is going to be a feature on this card. Both of these horses demonstrably have the talent and are unexposed hurdlers.

Darebin and Paddy's Poem are the pair in leg two whose course form makes them appealing Placepot types and both are healthy prices so may not take out a huge amount of the pool.

The feature Jane Seymour Novices' Hurdle is the one leg where a nudge and nurdle on Love Envoi is encouraged. A banker is needed, as we will need to take all four runners in the following Royal Artillery Gold Cup.

Learntalot is aptly named in the 3.30 given the considerate introduction he had at Wincanton last time. Bank on him so that in the closing 3m handicap chase we can oppose likely favourite Dr Kananga with two class-droppers, Laskalin and Potters Legend.
