Paul Kealy provides his Tote Placepot perm at Pontefract

Zaman Jameel looks the obvious starting point in leg one (1.50) of the Placepot at Pontefract.
He didn't run to a great level first time, but showed plenty of early pace, which will help around the bend here from stall three against rivals who mostly have no experience, while he should also appreciate better ground.
Andrew Balding's Politics is the obvious unraced one against him, but he's drawn wide and in a hood for his debut, which is a concern.
The next (2.20) is tough as it's low on quality but big on runners, although Arnoldought to go well. He has run most of his best races for Joe Fanning, shaped well enough on his return and has dropped to a mark 9lb lower than last season.
Pavers Pride is 3lb well in for his win last week, but he'll be popular and I'll add one of the younger generation, the steadily improving Araifjan, for some cover.
Salutiis the main fancy in leg three (2.50), but Peggie Sue can go in too. She likes a stiff 5f, has won here, and was impressive the last time she raced on turf.
I'll definitely be leaving Dark Vision out of leg four (3.20) and will go with Wadilsafaand Oh This Is Us, who likes it fast and ran well over Epsom's sharp 7f last time.
In leg five at 3.50, Heaven Forfend has easily the best form even if you discount his flattered sixth in the Chesham last year. He might not be straightforward, but I doubt three will get past him.
The final leg is a weak maiden auction (4.25) and Balding's well-bred Opera Gift isn't going to have to be a superstar to make a winning debut. He goes in with form filly Naked Lass.
