Newmarket Placepot tips: Graeme Rodway has a small perm for Saturday's card

A lot of the favourites look good at Newmarket, so let’s keep the perm lean.

The Zetland Stakes (1.50) kicks things off and Flying Honours should be too good. He is better than he showed when beaten here last time and can prove that by bouncing back.

The Autumn Stakes (2.25) can go to Epictetus. He was impressive when landing a Newmarket maiden on his debut in July and has the most potential in this line-up.

Nostrum is one of the most exciting juveniles in Britain and I expect him to win the Dewhurst (3.00), while Ahorsewithnoname and Scaramanga are the picks for the Cesarewitch (3.40).

You can’t go far wrong backing Godolphin blind on the Rowley Mile and their juveniles make the most appeal in the 7f nursery (4.15). Put both Desert Order and Modern Dancer in.

Chil Chil rates a good bet for the 6f Listed race (4.50) and is taken as another banker.
