A small field but plenty of interest. Megan drops in class and moves up in distance and she is greatly respected, while Lady Tremaine is on the up and Malaita should benefit from the return to shorter. This is a better race than the one that Desaray Girl won at Ayr last week but she will relish conditions and is able to race off 4lb lower today. She can take the rise in grade in her stride.

Since Darasso had a fairly hard race at Gowran on Saturday the path to victory should be a little easier for the 2020 Champion Hurdle third Darver Star who has begun to prosper again since reverting from chasing. Ronald Pump, twice second to Honeysuckle in the Hatton's Grace, could pose a serious threat. Thedevilscoachman, a useful novice last season, and Thyestes winner Longhouse Poet may also feature.

Copper Mountain: 7.00

Out of the yard's Listed-winning sprinter Aetna, who progressed with time, Copper Mountain won easily over C&D nine days ago and looks up to defying the penalty if the cheekpieces work as well a second time. Fellow last-time-out winners Griffin Park and Sid's Annie are also open to further improvement.

Fontana Ellissi: 3.40

This is much tougher than the Class 4 event Fontana Ellissi won at Ffos Las three weeks ago but he did very well to reel in the leader there and, if the best of last year's novice form is a guide, could still be well handicapped. He gets the nod but Ajero is better than he was able to show at Huntingdon in November and has also slipped to a good mark. Restandbethankful is next on the list.
