Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings
Monday fancies from Brighton, Newcastle, Newton Abbot and elsewhere
Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Brighton
4.00: He's Our Star
This can go to He's Our Star who looked desperately unlucky not to win for a third time here two weeks ago. The main danger could be a familiar face in stablemate Beau Geste, while Dawn View is unlikely to be too far away.
Alistair Jones
Newcastle
4.55: Margaret Dumont
The filly Margaret Dumont was a cracking second over course and distance in the Northumberland Vase and, having been in fair form on turf since, can come out on top today with the return to AW in her favour. Monsieur Lambrays may well have won at Nottingham last time if he'd had a clear run and he's feared most, ahead of Raymond who likes it here and ran well at Carlisle last time.

Newton Abbot
4.15: Dido
The likelihood of a strong pace should not faze Dido, who travelled well before winning over 2m5f on fast ground here in July and looked suited by the move up to 3m2f when second on soft here last month. Back on a sound surface today, he gets the vote ahead of Kingston King who dominated over course and distance on his chasing debut in June. No Cruise Yet and My Lady Grey also make appeal.
Chris Wilson
Perth
2.50: Do No Wrong
Cosheston has twice threatened since introduced to a visor and should theoretically prove suited by today's extra yardage, although it's a slight concern that his most convincing efforts have come at Bangor. Meanwhile, on selected pieces of form it's also possible to build a case for Deputy Jones, Rock On Tommy and Flood Defence. However, with the Justin Landy string in fine form, the most obvious candidate is the recent Sedgefield scorer Do No Wrong.
Mark Rowntree
Galway
5.05: Jazzaway
Hard to look beyond Jazzaway with the mare well-weighted. She should win. Thosedaysaregone has a chance under a good claimer while Quirt Evans is holding his form.
