Henry de Bromhead's fine run of form has continued through the Christmas period and Poker Party can keep up the good work on his handicap chase debut in a 2m5f event for conditional riders.

Poker Party won over this trip over hurdles and found 2m½f too sharp at Clonmel on the most recent of four races in beginners' events, the first of which was a Listowel contest won by Le Richebourg, a Grade 1 winner this week. His second attempt was as second-string in a well-contested Wexford event won by stablemate Mind's Eye.
