Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings
Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Cheltenham
1.50: Fugitif
Having recorded an impressive success at Chepstow on Welsh National day, Fugitif (nap) could well defy a 10lb rise and follow up. Il Ridoto, who holds solid claims on this season's efforts, is feared most ahead of Your Darling who may show further progress back down in distance. Brave Seasca and Irish challenger Now Where Or When are other suggestions for the shortlist.
Steve Boow
Doncaster
3.15: Tea For Free
Paddy Power Gold Cup winner Ga Law has shaped as though he'll be suited by the step up in trip and is a strong contender, but preference is for the highly progressive 8yo Tea For Free (nap) who is 4-4 over fences. Last season's Kim Muir runner-up Mister Coffey could also run well, along with Cloth Cap who showed plenty of spark in the Becher at Aintree last time.
Ben Hutton
Fairyhouse
2.46: Parmenion
French winner Parmenion (nap) has the strongest form on offer having chased home two nice prospects at Leopardstown last month. Tag Man looks like his main danger if he handles the return to 2m having improved over further last time out. Any support for Tony's Pet is worth noting have been well supported first time out.
Phill Anderson
Lingfield
2.18: Tyger Bay
Despite being beaten in both starts since his two C&D wins in slightly higher grade, Tyger Bay (nap) remains in top form and should find this easier than when a fine third in a 0-105 event back here two weeks ago. The main danger may be his stablemate Impeach whose three wins early last year all came over C&D. The Green Man should be all the better for his recent reappearance and is worth a second look in the returning cheekpieces.
David Bellingham
Kempton
7.30: Ziggy
In a useful contest Ziggy (nap) very much stands out, as the handicapper wasn't able to put him up for splitting much higher-rated rivals in a Newcastle conditions race last time. Pride Of America is proven when fresh and could easily have more to offer for the Amy Murphy stable in 2023, so he's put up for the forecast spot ahead of the thriving Capital Theory.
Andrew Sheret
Uttoxeter
3.42: Your Own Story
Presenting Jeremy (second choice) is bred for this new discipline and much respected, as are Tip Top Cat and Autonomous Cloud. They might all get outstayed by Your Own Story (nap), who ran well over 3m4f before keeping the favourite honest with a never-say-die effort when dropped to 3m at Ayr.
