On a card of such quality at Ascot on British Champions Day it’s difficult to know where to start.

The Qipco Champion Stakes (3.45) is obviously the jewel in the crown with Arc winner Found’s rematch with Almanzor, the best middle-distance three-year-old colt in Europe.

Almanzor is a short-priced favourite and rightly so after his Irish Champion Stakes win. If I was going to back against him it would be last year’s winner Fascinating Rock. However, the layers surely have this race by the short and curlies and there are better value punting heats.
