Exciting Bravemansgame can leave Sefton rivals in his wake

Bravemansgame produced one of the most impressive performances from a British novice when slamming a promising field in the Challow Hurdle at Newbury in December and, if he can reproduce that form, he could make up the maximum in this match with the field.

The Paul Nicholls-trained six-year-old recorded a Racing Post Rating of 154 on that occasion, which puts him 10lb clear of his nearest rival, Alaphillipe. Furthermore, Bravemansgame looks sure to improve for the step up to 3m½f, so could easily run to higher than 154.

Bravemansgame was given an RPR of 151 for his third in the Ballymore last time, but that looked a strong race beforehand and there will be nothing of Bob Olinger’s class in this.

Even if Bravemansgame runs to that lower level of form, he should still have 7lb in hand of his nearest rival and he needs only to win by three lengths or more to secure a profit for buyers. It will be disappointing if he can’t put at least that much between himself and the rest.
