Lightly raced eight-year-old who is desperate for a stern jumping test and will get that here in the Topham. His novice chase form last year stacks up well in this field and the way he travelled on his first start back off a break and after wind surgery was eyecatching at Warwick in February. This has clearly been the plan and with conditions to suit, Precious Cargo is fancied to put up a solid display for trainer Nicky Henderson.

DARK HORSE

Amarillo Sky (1.45 Aintree)

Colin Tizzard's horses still aren't firing but he rarely leaves Aintree without a winner and Amarillo Sky could go close for the Dorset handler in the opening Grade 3 hurdle. He wasn't beaten far by Dusart and Soaring Glory on good ground in November and given conditions went against him on his next two tries, it was nice to see him bounce back with a ready seven-length strike at Exeter. He gets in with just 10st 4lb on his back and can continue his progression.
