Nordic Nymph, a thoroughly likeable stayer who gets better with each run, can take the step up in class in her stride by landing Kempton’s 32Red Casino Mares’ Handicap Hurdle (1.10).

This will be the first time Henry Daly’s seven-year-old has tackled Class 2 company – her five career wins having all been gained in Class 3 or 5 grade – but the opposition isn’t as strong as it could have been and she rates a confident selection to register a sixth success from her last seven starts.

Nordic Nymph was always travelling like a winner at Bangor last time and remained hard on the bridle two out. Merely shaken up approaching the final flight, the daughter of Norse Dancer quickly stamped her authority on proceedings and stayed on strongly to beat stablemate Go West Young Man by a length and a quarter.
