Tattersalls announces new May NH Sale following success of relocated auctions
The new sale will take place at Park Paddocks on May 26
Tattersalls has announced a new sale, the May National Hunt Sale, which will be held at Park Paddocks following on from the success of several relocated Tattersalls Cheltenham sales over the last two years.
Taking place on Thursday, May 26, the inaugural sale will offer point-to-pointers, National Hunt horses in training and stores.
Due to covid-19 restrictions over the past 18 months, several sales from Tattersalls Cheltenham have been relocated, resulting in a top price of £430,000 and 19 lots selling for £100,000 or over.
Last year's Tattersalls Cheltenham May Sale sale saw an excellent 95 per cent clearance rate and hugely positive feedback from vendors and buyers.
Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony said: “The Tattersalls May National Hunt Sale will provide the perfect combination of date and location to showcase high quality British and Irish stores, point-to-pointers and National Hunt horses in training to a wide cross section of buyers.
"Park Paddocks demonstrated the location's ability to service the National Hunt sector with distinction when hosting the relocated Tattersalls Cheltenham sales, and the new Tattersalls May National Hunt Sale will benefit not only from Park Paddocks’ outstanding facilities but also from Newmarket’s unique infrastructure.”
Nominations are open for the store section of the sale and will close on January 28.
