Tattersalls has announced the appointment of Tina Rau and Tina Henriksson as overseas representatives in Germany and Scandinavia.

Rau is a successful and well-respected bloodstock consultant having started Tina Rau Bloodstock in 2010. She has enjoyed plenty of success at Tattersalls having purchased 2020 German 2,000 Guineas winner Fearless King at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 175,000gns.

The company's new Scandinavian representative Tina Henriksson was a successful amateur jockey and holds an amateur trainer’s licence, as well as working as a physiotherapist and an equine therapist.

Henriksson, who is based at Bro Park, has developed an extensive client portfolio during her career and takes over from Lennart Jarven, who has been Tattersalls representative for more than 30 years.

Rau said: “Tattersalls has always been held in the highest esteem by German breeders, owners and trainers and I am excited to be joining the Tattersalls team.

"Tattersalls is recognised in Germany as the European market leader and I'm looking forward to promoting Tattersalls in Germany, and to assisting German vendors and purchasers with their visits to Newmarket.”

Henriksson said: “I'm thrilled to be joining Tattersalls as representative for Scandinavia. The racing industry in Scandinavia continues to grow, with more horses competing on the global stage and more horses being imported each year, and I'm relishing the opportunity to bring clients from Sweden, Norway and Denmark to Newmarket to buy at the numerous market-leading sales staged by Tattersalls.”

Tattersalls chairman Edmond Mahony added: “Both Tina Rau and Tina Henriksson are successful and highly respected bloodstock professionals and we are delighted that they have joined the team of Tattersalls overseas representatives.

"We place huge emphasis on promoting all Tattersalls sales to as wide an international audience as possible and the new appointments reflect this commitment.

“While we look forward to working with our new representatives in Germany and Scandinavia, we would also like to thank their long-serving predecessors Daniel Delius and Lennart Jarven for their valued contributions over many years.”
