One Master's sister Arousing makes an impression on debut
Lael Stables homebred struck at Yarmouth on Thursday
There was more than a shade of her half-sister One Master about the way Arousing made a pleasing winning debut at Yarmouth on Thursday.
The winner of the Group 1 Prix de la Foret for the last two years, One Master is known for picking her way through the field and coming with a late run, as shown when winning under Tom Marquand in the Oak Tree Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on a famous day for broodmare Enticing. The tactics have failed to quite pay off in her two more recent starts.
Marquand donned the blue and green silks of Lael Stables at the Norfolk seaside track and looked in a bit of trouble when trying to find room two from home in the six-furlong British EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes.

Arousing's cruising speed made life easy for the pilot and she picked up Ryan Moore's mount, previous Kempton winner Ville De Grace, close home to win by a neck.
She is further ahead of her six-year-old sibling at this stage, as One Master did not make the track at two, but both Enticing and her dam Superstar Leo were Group performers as juveniles.
Kodiac was chosen by her breeders as a more precocious cover for Enticing on this occasion and the mare produced a Fastnet Rock brother to One Master earlier in the year.
