New incentive for buyers of Time Test nominations in 2019
Free return in store if a two-year-old winner is bred
Breeders who purchase a nomination to Time Test for the 2019 covering season will receive a free return to the stallion if the foal they produce becomes a two-year-old winner, as part of a new incentive from the National Stud in Newmarket.
Stud director Tim Lane said: “Time Test is a stallion we have put a lot of faith in; he hails from an amazing family and was a very talented performer. He was a winning two-year-old, his dam was a Group 1-winning two-year-old and his sire was a Group 1-winning two-year-old, but above this he showed class throughout his career.
“We felt this was a way to reward breeders who support Time Test in a notoriously difficult year and we have strong confidence this incentive will pay dividends for the breeders.”
Time Test, a dual Group 2-winning and Group 1-placed son of Dubawi and Criterium de Saint-Cloud heroine Passage Of Time, stood his first season at the National Stud in 2018 when he covered 111 mares, including 22 black-type performers and 22 black-type producers.
He is currently standing at Little Avondale Stud in New Zealand, his shuttle location in the southern hemisphere.
