Following the announcement of his retirement by owner Kia Joorabchian, Persian Force is to take up stallion duties at Tally-Ho Stud alongside his own sire, the record-breaking Mehmas.

Bred by Tom Lacy and a €75,000 purchase by Tally-Ho at the Goffs November Foal Sale in 2020, the chestnut then made €225,000 to Peter and Ross Doyle at Goffs Orby the following autumn.

Persian Force was a typically precocious product of his sire - a dual Group 2 winner who also retired at two - and started his career with a near five-length victory in the Brocklesby at Doncaster for Richard Hannon and Joorabchian's Amo Racing before a conditions stakes success at Newbury in May.

A good second to Bradsell in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot the following month, Persian Force landed his Group win in the July Stakes before a fine run in Group 1s.

He was no match for Little Big Bear in the Phoenix Stakes but still reversed form with Bradsell for second, while he was half a length second to another star juvenile from Ballydoyle in Blackbeard, in the Prix Morny in Deauville.

He was also a gallant third to the latter in the Middle Park Stakes and a respectable fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint, retiring with three wins and four placings from eight starts and prize-money of £289,012.

The juvenile colt is the second foal out of the unraced Lope De Vega mare Vida Amorosa, a half-sister to the winning Queen Of Power, the dam of dual Group 3 scorer and Prix Maurice de Gheest third Garrus.

Further back it is the family of top-class sprinter and miler Lianga, whose wins included the July Cup, Prix Maurice de Gheest, Prix Jacques le Marois and Prix de l'Abbaye. A fee will be announced at a later date.
