50th I.N.S Thoroughbred Breeding Management course to start in January

Students from seven countries will commence their studies in the 50th I.N.S Thoroughbred Breeding Management course in January, the Irish National Stud announced on Wednesday.

With 24 students set to take their place at the County Kildare stud, the Thoroughbred Breeding Management Programme is designed to offer practical training, classroom lectures, cultural immersion, personal and professional development.

Education development manager Anne Channon said: “The 24 students were selected through a rigorous and thorough application process and this year’s class comprises of a remarkable and accomplished group of individuals."

She added: "2021 is going to be an exciting year for the I.N.S as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the programme, our community of over 1,200 graduates spans over 30 countries, an achievement we are all very proud of.”
