Among the diverse previous graduates of the Arqana Autumn Sale - which kicks off in Deauville on Monday and continues until Wednesday - are last month's Velka Pardubicka winner and three-time Epsom Dash hero .
and , both Grade 1 winners at the Cheltenham Festival this year, were also offered at the sale, though were led out unsold for €34,000 and €29,000 respectively.
The opening session will comprise 236 horses in training while the second day is entirely devoted to young National Hunt stock with 40 two-year-old stores and 160 yearlings by leading jumping sires such as Saint Des Saints, Martaline and Kapgarde. A total of 200 Flat-bred yearlings will make up the third and final day.
Guy Cherel will offer 36 horses aged three and above as part of a reduction sale, including the promising Al Namix filly Folatiere (184).
Cherel previously sold Nonnetia, the dam of Grand National hero One For Arthur, to John Dwan in a private deal after she was led out of the ring unsold at just €3,000 at the Goffs France Summer Sale in 2006.
The Aga Khan Studs are well-represented during the horses in training section with eight horses including the promising Vadavar (lot 145), who recently made a winning start to his career over 2000m at Chantilly, in addition to Group 3-placed Dounyapour (146), who most recently posted an easy success over 2400m for Alain de Royer Dupre.
Among the National Hunt-bred yearlings on offer this week are a Doctor Dino brother to Henry VIII Novices' Chase winner Sceau Royal (312) offered by Haras de la Haie Neuve; a Khalkevi half-sister to dual Grade 1 winner Whisper (366) from Haras de la Croix Sonnet; and a Papal Bull half-brother to Farclas (393) from Haras du Hoguenet.
A No Nay Never colt out of the Group 3-placed Folle Allure (574) is among the star attractions on Wednesday.
