Haras d'Etreham has acquired a share in City Light, who clocked a swift time during his convincing win in Sunday's Prix du Pin at Longchamp.

Now five, the son of Siyouni has an impressive CV for trainer Stephane Wattel which has seen him winning regularly at Group and conditions level, including last year's All-Weather Sprint Championship at Lingfield on Good Friday.

Although yet to make much of an impression at the top level, City Light is likely to head back to Longchamp for the Prix de la Foret and will run in a partnership between Etreham and his existing owners Jean-Louis Bouchard and Isabelle Corbani, who was also his joint-breeder.

Etreham director Nicolas de Chambure told Jour de Galop: "The horse has been the subject of important offers from abroad and we have been following him for quite some time now.

"We are very pleased to have reached an agreement and it is excellent news that he remains in France. He is expected to be Siyouni's first son to enter the stud farm and will be offered syndication at the end of his career.

"City Light is a healthy horse, who ran for four seasons. He has a tremendous speed and acceleration, attributes that are found in many very good stallions."
