A host of blue-chip youngsters by Galileo headline entries for the Goffs November Foal Sale, for which the 1093-strong catalogue has been unveiled. Part 1 of Ireland's flagship foal auction will take place from Monday, November 19 to Wednesday, November 21, with Part 2 now a single session scheduled for Saturday, November 24 at the conclusion of the Goffs November Breeding Stock Sale.

The catalogue includes four lots by perennial champion sire Galileo, including a half-sister to dual Derby hero Harzand (lot 709) and a half-brother to dual Group 1 winner and champion Australian first-season sire Zoustar (637). Both lots were bred by Coolmore and will be offered through The Castlebridge Consignment.

Other stallions with progeny entered in the sale include proven sources of talent such as Dark Angel, Frankel, Invincible Spirit, Lope De Vega, Sea The Stars and Siyouni, as well as exciting up-and-comers like Kingman, Muhaarar, and No Nay Never.

Last year's Goffs November Foal Sale supplied the ammunition for a number of eyecatching pinhooks, including the No Nay Never filly selected by Glenvale Stud for €52,000 who was sold on to MV Magnier for €700,000 at the Orby Sale, while a €330,000 Sea The Stars colt signed for by Dromoland Farm was sold on to Godolphin for 1,000,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.

A trio of elite winners have flown the flag for the November Foal Sale during 2018, namely Irish Derby hero Latrobe, Grade 1 Natalma Stakes scorer La Pelosa and Sword Dancer Stakes winner Glorious Empire.

On the release of the catalogue, Goffs group chief executive Henry Beeby said: "Goffs November is simply unmissable for anyone interested in buying a foal, whether they aim to resell or race, and whatever their budget.

"This catalogue features many of the best foals to be offered anywhere in the world this year thanks to the enormous support from Irish breeders who consistently choose the Goffs November Foal Sale as their first choice.

"This year we are replicating the new format that was such a hit 12 months ago with Part 1 and Part 2 sections sandwiching our two-day breeding stock sale, ensuring the best possible trade for each category and the most purchaser-friendly layout of the foals on offer.

"We have added 96 new stables so that all the Part 1 foals will be available for inspection in ample time prior to going under the hammer, thus removing the old bugbear of 'double standings' that added so much extra stress to horse, vendor and purchaser."
