Swinbank horses to be dispersed without reserve at Goffs UK Spring Sale
Late trainer's Western House Stables to also go on the market
Western House Racing will offer a 34-lot dispersal on the second day of the Goffs UK Spring Sale at Doncaster this month, with all lots to be offered without reserve.
Western House was run by the successful northern trainer Alan Swinbank who passed away in May last year.
Swinbank enjoyed international success during his career, training nearly 800 winners under both codes including the likes of Turbo Linn, who landed the Lancashire Oaks, and Collier Hill, who won 15 races in eight countries including the Irish St Leger, Canadian International and Hong Kong Vase.
Western House has since been in the care of Swinbank's partner Sally Haynes and son Julian Swinbank, and they have decided not to continue training and to disperse the horses.
All lots will be sold as they stand, without reserve, over three drafts on Thursday, May 24.
Western House Stables, which was purpose-built in 2007, will also be offered for sale in the coming months by Goffs Property.
The dispersal will offer a mixture of unraced and raced Flat and National Hunt horses and features 16 winners including Happy Hollow, who was unbeaten in three bumper starts in 2016, and On The Rox, a Newcastle bumper scorer in February.
The Goffs UK Spring Sale at Doncaster will start with the store section, which will offer 269 lots on Tuesday, May 22, with the two-day, 398-lot Spring HIT/P2P Sale following on Wednesday and Thursday.
