Covering fees have been released for stallions at two leading French operations next year.

The price for Wootton Bassett at Haras d'Etreham has been doubled to €40,000 from €20,000 in 2018, having been represented by Prix du Jockey Club runner-up Patascoy, St James's Palace Stakes third Wootton and Group 3 scorer The Black Album in the past season.

The son of Iffraaj has shone despite covering small books, and supplied 2016 European champion Almanzor from his debut crop.

He stood at fees between €4,000 and €6,000 from his first year in 2012 until 2016.

Almanzor will stand his second season alongside his sire at Etreham at an unchanged fee of €35,000.

Meanwhile, across Normandy, Haras de Montfort et Preaux has reduced the fee for its flagship stallion Le Havre to €45,000 from €60,000 in 2018.

The source of 23 stakes winners was represented by a filly who sold to Blandford Bloodstock for 850,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last month.

Recorder's covering fee has been left unchanged at €6,000 in his second season at Montfort et Preaux.

Le Havre and Recorder's former studmate Rajsaman, the sire of dual French Classic hero Brametot, has been moved on to Haras de Jalogny in eastern France in a deal brokered by Richard Venn.
