Wetherby Placepot tips: Paul Kealy has two early bankers on Thursday

Placepot punters at Wetherby are best advised to go with a couple in the opener (2.15) which is competitive by maiden hurdle standards.

The prominent-racing Spiritofthenorth, a winner on the Flat when last seen, is solid, while Quiet Flow's bumper form suggests he should be better than this and we can probably expect a much improved showing after his break.

We should need only one in the six-runner next (2.50) as most have a lot to find, and the selection is Weebill over Clearance as he is race fit and in form.

In the third (3.25) Rose Sea Has was finally rewarded for some consistent efforts when scoring at Fontwell last time and is still well treated on the pick of his form off 3lb higher.

In leg four (3.58) Jet Plane should be given another chance back in his right grade, while Rukwa lost his confidence after being badly hampered early on at Catterick the last time he ran over hurdles, but performed with credit on the Flat since and can go well.

Former Irish hunter chaser Templebredin could have got in lightly on his debut for Richard Newland in the next (4.33), while Sigurd is becoming increasingly well handicapped and should bounce back soon.

The 4lb well-in The Questioner will be popular in the last (5.05) having been demoted to second despite winning by nearly three lengths last time, but on balance Celtic Tara and Freethinker have stronger form and are preferred.
