Wednesday's tips: our experts with their best bets for day two of Cheltenham
Handicappers' nap
Dame De Compagnie (2.50 Cheltenham)
Caught the eye on her return from a lengthy absence first time up in the Greatwood Hurdle and relished the step up in trip when easily beating subsequent listed race winner Indefatigable on the New Course in December. Open to further improvement and already looks better than her current official mark of 140.

Eyecatcher
Protektorat (2.50 Cheltenham)
Winner of a Listed novice at the track before facing a tougher ask conceding 5lb to the first two in a Grade 2 at the same venue. He has to be dropped out in his races so the Coral Cup should suit him.

West Country nap
Sporting John (1.30 Cheltenham)
Unbeaten in three hurdle races to date and is fancied to keep up the good work.
Andrew King
Ace Tipster
Copperhead (2.10 Cheltenham)
Had a couple of Grade 2 winners stone cold in the Reynoldstown and that is the standout piece of form in the RSA.
Keith Melrose
Newmarket nap
Vega's Angel (5.50 Kempton)
Fancied to give James Doyle his first domestic winner of 2020 on his first ride back after her gutsy maiden win at Lingfield last month.
David Milnes
Speed figures
Copperhead (2.10 Cheltenham)
Has made giant strides this season, will relish this stamina test and can make it four from five over fences.
Dave Edwards
Spotlight nap
Minella Indo (2.10 Cheltenham)
Proper staying type who is 4-5 in races over 3m (including point win) and looks cut out for this contest, having landed the Albert Bartlett at this meeting last year. He followed up in a Punchestown Grade 1, beating old rival Allaha before a workmanlike success at Navan on second chase start, beating a subsequent Grade 2 scorer. He should have more to offer over fences, given his hurdles form, and is highly respected.
Steve Boow
Irish Angle
Minella Indo (2.10 Cheltenham)
A proven three-miler over hurdles and fences, Minella Indo won the Albert Bartlett last season before following up with a Grade 1 success at Punchestown. He makes plenty of appeal having scored over the distance at Navan in January on his second start over fences. The form was boosted when the runner-up, Captain Cj, went back and won a Grade 2 event over the same course and trip by six lengths. With improvement on the cards he is a strong contender.
Anthony OHehir
Dark horse
Thosedaysaregone (2.50 Cheltenham)
Very nice winner of a handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival. Should benefit from a step up in trip and looks to have been given a workable British mark.
Rob Sutton
Stat of the day
There's not much to choose between the market leaders in the RSA Chase (2.10), but it's noteworthy that Minella Indo has form figures of 2111 over 3m and is 2/2 going left-handed. He gets the narrow vote.
