Thomas Campbell (4.25 Cheltenham, nap)

Well-treated on the pick of his form and the refitted cheekpieces, a recent wind operation and his jockey's 7lb claims are all positives as he bids for his first hurdle win since November 2017.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Royal Marine (3.35 Newmarket)

Disappointed on dirt in Dubai in January but bagged a Group 1 over this trip at Longchamp in October and merits the utmost respect.

Longshot: Vishal Junglee

Burj (5.20 Newmarket)

Has been running in better races in Meydan, so will be race fit and will appreciate the quicker ground.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Mallacoota (8.15 Dundalk)

Jessica Harrington's filly appeals here following an encouraging run on her final start last season when she finished a good third over seven furlongs at Leopardstown. Stepping up in trip, the daughter of Australia can account for her four rivals.

Brando is 3-3 on the Rowley Mile Course at Newmarket, and has landed the last two runnings of the Abernant Stakes on his seasonal return (he is 4/4 after a break of 180 days or more). The seven-year-old will be hard to beat in the 3.00.
