General Principle lost his form a bit in the spring, but he has been given a bit of respite from the handicapper and he'd be interesting on the form of his fifth in the Thyestes and third in the Irish Grand National Trial last winter.

He has run in three Irish Nationals on this track, finishing fifth in 2017 and winning in 2018 before last season's pulled-up run when he was out of sorts and the ground was too fast.
