Trio downed after trading at 1.14 in running
Sulafah looked like justifying support when hitting the front in the second division of the fillies' maiden at Newmarket and was backed down to 1.14 on Betfair. However, Medicean Ballet really picked up momentum coming out of the dip and ran out a ready winner after trading at 140.
In an attritional finish to the first division of the fillies' maiden at Newmarket, favourite White Chocolate gradually wore down Curlew River after trading at 20. The runner-up was backed at 1.14.
Another runner-up to be beaten at 1.14 was Churchtown Champ, who had every chance in the novice handicap chase at Worcester, only to find Fayette County (16) would not be passed.
