Tote Placepot: Paul Kealy goes looking for mudlarks at Uttoxeter

Uttoxeter is the best destination for a Placepot as there is only one race offering fewer than three places, although it won't be easy given the heavy ground.

We'll bank on in the first (12.22). He was beaten at odds-on last time, but was simply outpaced on the good ground and will be better served by conditions and the stamina test now.

In the next (12.55) course winner has no form in the ground, but his sire and dam handled it fine and he's not badly treated on his first run for Gay Kelleway.

In leg three (1.30) has shown some of his best form on heavy ground and didn't shape badly on his return on a quicker surface two weeks ago, while is very much a mudlark whose form figures on soft or worse since last December are 19211.

In the next (2.05) I quite like the chances of , but only seven go, so we'll add , who remains competitively treated.

and look the two to concentrate on in the fifth (2.37) as Haldon Hill is too clumsy for my liking, while in the last (3.07) we'll go with , who bounced back to form last time, and , who relishes conditions and should be fit now.
