Angel Bleu took a bit of time to get on top at Salisbury when breaking his duck last month but he was strong at the line and the form received a boost when the runner-up won at Haydock on Thursday.
He looks certain to improve a good deal for the step up to 6f in the EBF Stallions VW Van Centre (West Yorkshire) Ltd Youngsters Conditions Stakes at Pontefract (7.10) and, while this is a good race, Angel Bleu can prove himself Royal Ascot class.
