Paul Nicholls has already won 11 runnings of the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase and he is long odds-on to win it again, with Clan Des Obeaux going for a hat-trick in Kempton's Christmas highlight and Cyrname having enjoyed a much smoother preparation than last year.

In contrast to 12 months ago, Nicholls has made the King George Cyrname's early-season priority and he is likely to arrive at Kempton in a much better place. He proved he stays the trip at Wetherby in the Charlie Hall and he will certainly run a good deal better than he did in last year's race.
