Pats Fancy has the Welsh National as his main target but that race is only a few weeks away so he will have to be somewhere near peak fitness and he looks to have a huge class edge over his opposition in the Happy Birthday To John Maisey Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (11.53) at Chepstow.
Last season over fences he beat Gericault Roque at the track and was second to Bravemansgame at Newbury. A reproduction of that level of form would make him hard to beat and he can race off a 10lb lower mark over hurdles.
