Today's early value bet

Thomas Blossom's recent form - both on the Flat and over jumps - is rock-solid at a low level, and he should prove hard to beat in the 2m amateur riders’ handicap hurdle.

The six-year-old split two subsequent scorers, Fine Resolve and Maid Of Tuscany, when runner-up at Bath last month, and a Uttoxeter third to Ganymede on his previous start received a boost when the second Sarpech bolted up at Huntingdon last Tuesday.

A four-time scorer on the Flat, Thomas Blossom remains unexposed over hurdles after just four attempts, and today's stiff 2m should suit. Don't miss him.
