Tiger rolled at short prices once again

Play The Part traded at the maximum 1,000 in running on Betfair on his way to a surprise win in the bumper at Wexford. Easy-to-back 8-11 favourite Gleesons Tipp looked certain to score when quickening clear a furlong out and, with the 20-1 winner seemingly beaten, the market leader traded at 1.01. However, Play The Part found a second wind with a strong late run to sting favourite backers.

Tiger Roll was beaten after touching 2.5 or shorter for the fifth time in his last eight starts in the M.W. Hickey Memorial Chase. The 5-2 chance touched 1.28, but proved no match for the easy 8-1 winner Bay Of Freedom, who had traded at 27.

Queens Well disappointed backers at 1.08 when turned over as 1-2 favourite in the mares' hurdle at Plumpton. The market leader looked in control when hitting the front two out, but was brushed aside on the run-in by 10-1 scorer Queens Present, who had traded at 180.
