'The Cesarewitch has always been the objective and conditions should suit'
Willie Mullins, trainer of Laws Of Spin, Meri Devie, Whiskey Sour, Lagostovegas, Gustavus Vassa, Low Sun, Stratum, Uradel, Chelkar, Law Girl and Limini
The horses are well at the moment and, although there's still a long time to go, I'm keen to get as many of them to the Cesarewitch as possible. Stratum has bounced back well from the Ebor, where things didn't go to plan, and I would imagine the Cesarewitch will be something we'll target with him. I'll try to get Lagostovegas there again. We'll play it day by day with her and it'll depend on the ground as to where she goes next – she needs nice ground. Low Sun looks an ideal Cesarewitch candidate and the good thing about him is that he handles any ground. Although neither he nor Uradel made the first three at Bellewstown last week [finishing sixth and fourth] I was happy with how they ran. We took a chance running Limini twice at Galway but she has come out of those races well. We'll look at Irish Champions Weekend for her and the Cesarewich is still very much a possibility.
Ralph Beckett, trainer of Here And Now and Mountain Bell
Here And Now has come out of Chester well. He didn't really have a race there because of the way things panned out, so it's very possible he could still run in the Cesarewitch. I'm not sure Newmarket suits him as well as a turning track but we don't have many options and he's a pretty straightforward horse. Mountain Bell is only a possible. I wouldn't necessarily be framing the rest of her year around it.
Andrew Balding, trainer of Cleonte, St Mary's, Night Of Glory and Montaly
The race has always been Cleonte's objective and we're still deciding whether to give him a run beforehand, but it looks like he'll get in the race. He's in great form and conditions should suit. St Mary's is a possibility and may run in the Cesarewitch trial. Night Of Glory will run before but will need a penalty to get in. Montaly is more likely to go for the Prix du Cadran.
