'This could be his day' - Keith Melrose believes freshness is the key to success

4.20 Chepstow
1pt win at 6-1 with bet365 (11-2 generally)
This 2m7½f handicap chase is seemingly the highlight of the Chepstow card, but it seems to be lacking in depth. Reserve Tank never looked a chaser for Colin Tizzard (admittedly ability alone could carry him to victory off 122), Butterwick Brook requires a similar leap of faith, while Truckin Away similarly has ability but his jumping or enthusiasm means he rarely shows it.
It is no wonder Wayfinder is a relatively short price, but even he tends to be better for his first run and he wears cheekpieces today.
