'There's scope for bankers at Taunton' - Paul Kealy provides his Placepot perm
There's plenty of competitive racing, but three non-handicaps to start the Taunton card should enable us to keep the Placepot perm sensible.
The opening seller (12.07) features only seven runners, but Paricolor and Chef De Troupe look well ahead of the rest and we should need just one. Chef De Troupe was beaten nearly nine lengths when third to Paricolor at Leicester last time, but the ground is more in his favour this time and he gets the nod.
In the next (12.37) has 12lb worth of penalties to deal with, but the opposition doesn't look that scary and it will be disappointing if he gets beat by three of these.
There looks to be more depth in the next leg (1.10), but is definitely going in the right direction, while showed some hot bumper form when winning well on his debut at Kempton (runner-up rated higher than the best of these over hurdles) in February and will take some beating if he jumps.
In leg four (1.42) may return to his earlier summer form after being given a break following a poor run at Warwick, while has run really well on his last two starts and should be on the premises.
Palmers Hill is quite a warm fancy in the next, especially as many of his main market rivals didn't finish or ran poorly last time, but if he isn't ready, perhaps old stager , running well of late, can do the job.
In the last (2.47) I'll take on Confirmation Bias, whose form doesn't yet merit his handicap mark. and are the suggestions.
