Relight My Fire (3.00 Musselburgh)

There are not many trainers in better form than Tim Easterby at the moment. He has saddled 13 winners from 76 runners (17 per cent strike-rate) in the last two weeks and he looks set to be in the winner's enclosure yet again with Relight My Fire.

The seven-year-old was beaten half a length into second last week in a red-hot handicap at Beverley. He could be deemed a little unfortunate to have bumped into the winner Rosy Ryan, who has been remarkably consistent this season, and the third and fourth from the race both won next time out.

The form of that Class 5 couldn't have worked out any better and a 2lb rise seems lenient and he looks to have been found a good opportunity to land his first victory in over two years dropping back into Class 6 company.

EYECATCHER

Native Prospect(3.40 Brighton)

The Andrew Balding-trained son of Bated Breath has shown a liking for undulating tracks with three good runs at Epsom and Goodwood on his last three starts.

He was unfortunate to bump into Emenem on the first of those runs when second in a 14-runner handicap in April as the winner is now rated 22lb higher.

In contrast, Native Prospect has gone up just 1lb in his two runs since and was sent off a warm order in a 1m½f handicap at Epsom last time out. He travelled well into the race but could not land a blow on the winner Pealer. Although beaten two and a half lengths, he stayed on strongly at the finish and should appreciate the step up to 1m2f today.

Pealer ran a stormer on his next start when beaten just a neck by D'bai in a 12-runner handicap at Ascot and is rated 12lb higher than when beating Native Prospect.

Native Prospect is clearly ahead of the handicapper and this looks a good opportunity to take advantage of his mark with trip and track set to suit.

DARK HORSE

Yorkidding(4.00 Musselburgh)

Sebastian's Wish is likely to be a warm order in this contest as he bids to land a fifth win in six runs since moving to Keith Dalgleish.

He is clearly progressive but it is worth noting he was beaten by two of today's rivals, Great Fighter and Kensington Star, on his sole defeat for Dalgleish in a Class 3 at Musselburgh in June. All of his other victories have been in Class 4s so this is a significant step up in grade.

The winner of that race in June, Kensington Star, has looked out of his depth when stepping into Class 2 company so it is maybe taking a chance with Mark Johnston's Yorkidding, who has proven form at this level.

An unlucky second in the Chester Cup in May, the five-year-old daughter of Dalakhani has been below par on her last few runs but they came in the Ascot Stakes, a Listed race at Pontefract and the Northumberland Plate so this marks a significant drop in grade and she can strike with the quick conditions to suit.
