BANKER

Wordismybond(3.05 Brighton)

This eight-year-old, who did very well when with Richard Hughes last season before disappointing on four starts for Brendan Powell, has now found himself at Amanda Perrett's yard and scored at the first time of asking for his new trainer over course and distance nine days ago. His mark had plummeted down to 61 before that start and partnered by Adam Kirby for the first time, he duly took advantage. He runs here off 6lb higher, making him 1lb well-in, and Kirby maintains the ride. It would disappointing if he couldn't complete the double against these rivals.

EYECATCHER

Beatbybeatbybeat(7.45 Newcastle)

Antony Brittain's four-year-old filly comes up against a number of unexposed rivals here, none more so than She's Pukka who bids to maintain her unbeaten record for Iain Jardine. However, she was a real eyecatcher when given too much to do after meeting with trouble at Nottingham last time out before flying home to only go down by half a length. She's been put up 5lb since then and the switch to the all-weather is a concern, but she is definitely capable of winning off this mark if she's given a better ride.
