BANKER

Glendevon(6.10 Chelmsford)

Glendevon is my number one horse to follow this year. Recently purchased by Cheveley Park Stud, this Scat Daddy colt noted himself as an exceptional prospect in two runs last year and will no doubt become a Group performer in due course. The chestnut three-year-old ran into the 106-rated Symbolization on debut, but pulled four lengths clear of the rest of his rivals that included subsequent two-time winner Tanseeq. He built on that promise with a comfortable and powerful success in September and hasn't been seen since. He has to prove he can go left-handed, but he has copious amounts of potential and should take this if fit enough.

EYECATCHER

(3.00 Chester)

This three-year-old son of Dragon Pulse won a 5f maiden at this meeting last year and looks set to go well from stall six in this 0-100 handicap. Getting in off a mark of 88, 5lb lower than when beaten three-quarters of a length in a conditions event here last summer, Tom Dascombe's speedy sort looks to be pretty well treated and following an encouraging reappearance, can get back in the winner's enclosure. His stamina is the only concern, but he's sure to be right up with the pace from the start and should have every chance with a furlong to run.
