The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with two to follow at Dundalk

BANKER

Colfer Me (6.00 Dundalk)

Son of Canford Cliffs who seems to have improved for the fitting of blinkers and racing on the all-weather surface at Dundalk. A real eyecatcher on his third and second-last efforts at this track when runner-up both times, Colfer Me easily defied a career-high mark of 85 for trainer Joseph O'Brien when bolting up over a mile here two weeks ago and looks to be able to handle a subsequent 10lb rise in the weights. He carried a big weight of 10st 1lb that day, so running off topweight again isn't a problem, while the drop in trip shouldn't be an issue as he shows plenty of early speed.

GOOD THING

Sleepy Head (8.00 Dundalk)

Spinning Pearl and Caronda, second and third in a 45-65 handicap over course and distance three weeks ago, will probably have their fair share of supporters, but there are plenty of negatives about both and I'd be confident the consistent Sleepy Head can finally get his head in front for trainer Patrick Flynn. A course specialist at Dundalk, Sleepy Head doesn't have much in hand off his current rating of 59 but hasn't finished outside the first five in his last eight runs and doesn't look to have much to beat today. He's been running over shorter trips but the step back up to 1m4f isn't a problem and 5lb claimer Ben Coen is well worth his allowance.
