The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Thursday

BANKER

Truckers Lodge(2.10 Chepstow)

It's been a tough couple of weeks with results on the rather unpredictable side, but I'm hoping we can record a couple of winners today, starting with this Paul Nicholls-trained hurdler. Formerly with Tom George, Truckers Lodge has had three runs for his new yard and really impressed with the way he went about his course-and-distance success last time out. He sliced through the field on heavy ground when hard on the bridle, and quickened in exciting fashion. He's up 13lb for that but he's open to plenty of progress and should follow up.

GOOD THING

Mansfield (2.35 Wolverhampton)

I'm aware this five-year-old is a tricky ride and he's not normally a betting proposition, but he was so unlucky when a half-length third last time out over 6f here that it would be foolish to ignore him off the same mark today. Keen throughout after being held up off the pace, Mansfield found trouble everywhere he turned up the straight but ran on well under hands and heels to take a place. The drop to 5f is potentially the key to making him settle. He's not a horse that really wants to be in front, so hopefully he can swoop in the final strides.

DARK HORSE

Cappacurry Zak (2.05 Limerick)

This is likely to have been the target for this stayer for some time (won it two years ago) and he should be primed to strike after his recent reappearance effort when finishing eighth. He ran pretty well at Cork earlier this month in fact, despite the race coming over an inadequate 2m trip. The step back up to 3m will suit and he clearly goes well at the track (3-7).
