The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Friday
BANKER
Ninetythreetwenty(7.30 Pontefract)
This five-runner conditions race looks a pretty decent affair and with plenty of pace from Mark Johnston's Victory Command and Amy Murphy's Thegreatestshowman, the race could be set up for Ninetythreetwenty, who looks to follow up his Doncaster debut success. Richard Fahey's son of Dragon Pulse impressed over what was an inadequate five-furlong trip when beating six rivals at the start of the month and the form has readily been boosted by his stablemate and fifth-placed finisher Cosmic Law, who won at Carlisle on his next start. The runner-up, third and fourth that day already had experience under their belt and it was extremely encouraging to see Ninetythreetwenty land that prize. This trip will suit and he has a perfect draw in stall one to stalk the leaders.
GOOD THING
Main Street(3.45 Goodwood)
John Gosden has won four of the last nine runnings of this Listed Cocked Hat Stakes, notably with St Leger third Michelangelo and Group 3 scorer Masked Marvel, and he relies solely on Main Street to enhance his record despite having the highly promising Raa Atoll entered as well. This three-year-old colt makes just his second start on turf following two all-weather successes at Chelmsford. The latter victory, recorded in April, came on his first run over 1m2f and on that performance, he looks suited to the extra furlong he'll tackle today. Ridden by Martin Harley on that occasion, Main Street travelled smoothly through the race before staying on strongly to the line to deny two runners from top connections. The form hasn't worked out very well but he could do little more than win and further progression is likely.
EYECATCHER
Dourado (2.35 Goodwood)
Patrick Chamings ran an improving handicapper at Sandown last night and looks to have another on his hands in Dourado. This four-year-old had a cracking season in 2017, with three victories from five starts, and looks certain to improve further. He did a lot wrong when winning at Kempton, including taking a keen hold early, but he did it well in the end and a 3lb rise may underestimate him. Sir Titan is an interesting outsider now dropped in the weights and returning to Goodwood, but Marcus Tregoning's horses aren't flying as of yet.
