The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Wednesday afternoon
GOOD THING
Hard horse to win with and now an 11-year-old but had his best performance at Doncaster and connections will be looking for another victory today as he bids to qualify for the Stayers Hurdle Series Final. Last seen at this track when bolting up by eight lengths in a 20-runner handicap hurdle in January 2018 (off 120), Kansas City Chief has only won once since, but that came on his penultimate outing when taking advantage of his low mark. He ran very well last time, too, when beaten by handicap blot Phoenix Way and looks the class runner of this field.
EYECATCHER
Four-time winner who was placed in both the Spring Mile and Spring Cup in 2018 (marks of 90 and 94) before scoring off 97 in a good handicap on his sole start here during that summer. Has had a number of problems since but seems to be back in top form now and recent efforts over 1m2f at Lingfield have been promising. Down to a mark of just 87 as well as dropping in grade and trip are positives for Humbert, who can return to winning ways.
