BIG-RACE BANKER
Klassical Dream(2.30 Leopardstown)
My idea of the Champion Hurdle winner come March, Klassical Dream looked an absolute machine when novice hurdling last season, a year he capped off with Grade 1 victories in the Supreme at Cheltenham and Champion Novice at Punchestown. Yes, he was beaten at 2-5 on his return behind stablemate Saldier in November, but Willie Mullins' runners have all needed their first starts this season and he is sure to come on bundles for that effort. Add in the fact he didn't jump overly well yet travelled like a dream throughout, and it is clear to see Klassical Dream wasn't 100 per cent ready to go that day. This looks a pretty winnable affair and I'll be shocked if he didn't win.
GOOD THING
Minella Indo (1.55 Leopardstown)
Battleoverdoyen sets the standard on hurdles form but wasn't overly convincing last time out when only just denying Any Second Now and is well worth taking on with the talented Minella Indo. Henry de Bromhead's runners are in glittering form and the trainer has often said that Minella Indo takes a run or two to hit full gear, so his comeback second behind Laurina can certainly be marked up. He was keen early but wasn't beaten far at the line and has been given a small break since then to progress physically. He has only had six starts, so remains unexposed, and rates a potential improver this campaign.
