The Punt Daily: Tom Collins free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon
BIG-RACE BANKER
Raheen House(3.40 York)
William Haggas has had the Ebor in mind for Raheen House all season and the five-year-old will be primed to strike in the £1 million race on the back of two course-and-distance defeats. A second behind Gold Mount in Listed company before a third-placed finish to Red Verdon in a Group 3, Raheen House brings solid form to the table and must go close if repeating his best performances (when with Brian Meehan) now back in a handicap. His draw in stall nine is perfect and the booking of James Doyle, who has provided punters with a level-stakes profit from his rides at York across the years, is a plus.
GOOD THING
Forest Of Dean(4.45 York)
Early market support will see Forest Of Dean's price tumble, but he deserves to be the clear market leader for this 1m2½f handicap given the strength of his form this year. The three-year-old son of Iffraaj has won three of five starts in 2019, which includes a ready success off a mark of 93 at Glorious Goodwood last time out despite not getting the clearest of runs. That came on the back of a 75-day break, so he should come on for it, and his previous fourth in the London Gold Cup is the best piece of form in this race. He's gone up to a mark of 100 after his latest success but he has only had eight runs, so expect further improvement, and his recent RPRs suggest he is still very well treated.
EACH-WAY PLAY
Tight-knit 7f handicaps around Goodwood aren't the easiest to dissect but I'm happy to take a risk that Joe Tuite's Kimifive will return to form with a bang now back over his favourite trip at Goodwood. This four-year-old loves it here, proven by an easy length success over this course and distance in May off a mark of 88, and should have gone close in the Stewards' Cup when last seen if granted a clear run. He suffered severe traffic problems that day but remains on the same mark and will be suited by the extra furlong and smaller field this afternoon.
