BANKER

Peculiar Places (3.45 Hereford)

Warren Greatrex thinks a fair amount of £100,000 purchase Peculiar Places, who showed a great attitude from the front in a Market Rasen bumper back in April to just be denied by Settie Hill, who was subsequently bought for £110,000 by Michael Buckley. He shaped with a great deal of promise in a quality bumper at Ascot on Friday, and this horse, out of a half-sister to Dunguib, can do the same. Richard Johnson should suit his style and I hope he is aggressively ridden.

EYECATCHER

Mountain Bell (6.40 Kempton)

This looks a competitive affair but on official ratings Mountain Bell has the upper hand. Joint top-rated 107 along with Red Verdon and Western Hymn – she gets 5lb and 10lb from those rivals – she has been sparingly raced, but can put in a huge performance here. Her Listed victory in Chester's Stand Cup now reads well, as she collared Desert Encounter, who is now rated 114, with Foundation and Not So Sleepy in behind. She can build on her reappearance fourth at Newbury.

DARK HORSE

Cartographer (6.10 Kempton)

She disappointed when sent off favourite for a valuable sprint handicap on the July Course in the summer, but Martyn Meade's three-year-old filly had improved nicely to that point, winning twice. Cartographer bounced back next time, finishing second to the ultra-progressive Inshiraah. She's had a break since then and it is noteable Meade has brought her back for this, she has experience at this track having made her promising debut here, looks unexposed and can go well off a mark of 92. Her draw in 7 shouldn't hold any concerns either.
