A half-sister to the useful Kateson, Fair Kate didn't run badly in a nice bumper at Ffos Las behind Thor De Cerisy on debut and duly stepped up on that effort when third on hurdling debut at Chepstow. She was only beaten just over three lengths and had the solid Sevarano in behind. Her trainer Tom Lacey is in excellent form and this mare can give him another winner.
