The Punt Acca: Owen Goulding's three horse racing tips on Friday

New London(1.50 Newmarket)

Charlie Appleby's horses are coming back into form and New London could be extremely well-handicapped for Godolphin. He ran to an RPR of 106 when winning a red-hot Newmarket maiden in April and Chester, ultimately, did not play to his strengths last time. He will probably prove best over further in time, but this will be run at a true gallop and back on a better surface, he should prove too strong off this potentially lenient mark.

Far Shot(2.15 Ascot)

Costing £160,000 as a two-year-old, Far Shot is a well-bred son of Kodiac who caught the eye when scoring at skinny odds on debut at Yarmouth in June. He ran flat in the Windsor Castle on his most recent start, but it is easier to forgive that effort and he is in the right hands to leave that behind. A mark of 83 should not be beyond him and the best is surely yet to come, especially over this longer distance.

Bling on The Music(3.25 Ascot)

Improving with each of his three runs thus far, Bling On The Music can take advantage of a mark of 85 on handicap debut. He was having his third start when finishing second at Windsor in June, beaten by a neck by a horse who subsequently ran fairly on handicap debut off a rating of 93. A half-brother to several smart winners including Total Commitment and Shimmering, he is bred to improve for further racing. Racing on his ideal ground, he has an excellent chance of shedding his maiden tag.
